Pumpkin Bread

This homemade Pumpkin Bread can be made in one bowl and is loaded with pumpkin, warm fall spices, is moist and easy to make. It has a delicious cinnamon swirl in the center of the bread that makes this pumpkin bread stand out in looks and taste.

Every fall I get out my recipe for pumpkin bread and make it. It’s one of those treats that just goes with the season. I feel like the fall season would be incomplete if I didn’t make it. My pumpkin bread recipe features a soft, moist bread with a slightly crisp exterior. Two cinnamon sugar swirls weave through the bread, which adds a beautiful appearance to the bread as well as delicious flavor.

Here’s what you need to know…

My favorite thing about this recipe is how easy it is to make. It can be made in one bowl. No mixer needed! Mix together the butter, oil, sugar, eggs and pumpkin until combined. Then, you’ll add in the dry ingredients (flour, cinnamon, baking powder and soda, salt and nutmeg), and mix until combined.

To achieve the cinnamon sugar swirls, you will begin by pouring 1/3 of the batter into a lightly greased 9×5 loaf pan, then sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mixture on top. Next, you will add another 1/3 batter into pan, and sprinkle with remaining cinnamon sugar mixture. Pour the last 1/3 of batter into pan.

This bread takes roughly 50-55 minutes to bake. Allow to cool completely before removing from the loaf pan. If the loaf is removed when it is still fairly warm, it has more tendency to fall apart. I like to store the bread in the refrigerator, but you can also freeze for up to 3 months.
