I love pairing this honey cinnamon butter with dinner rolls, of course, but it also tastes delicious on a slice of banana bread, or on my breakfast items, like my cinnamon raisin English muffin bread, or these bagels, or my soft and fluffy homemade English muffins. Ingredients

  • unsalted butter
  • honey
  • confectioners’ sugar
  • ground cinnamon
  • pinch of salt

Ingredient Notes

Can I use salted butter?

You can use either salted or unsalted butter in this recipe. In this recipe, I used unsalted butter with a small pinch of salt. If you choose salted butter, I would not add the pinch of salt immediately. Taste the butter and if you feel it needs a pinch of salt, you can add it. Salt helps to balance the flavors, and bring out the flavors.

Here’s how to make this Honey Cinnamon Butter

This butter comes together in 5 minutes or less. It’s one of the easiest recipes you will make!

I like using my stand mixer, or a handheld mixer to beat everything together, but certainly you can mix by hand if you prefer. Just make sure you are using room temperature or softened butter.

I like to mix the butter on its own first for a few minutes until it is light and creamy. Then, add the remaining ingredients and mix until well combined, smooth and creamy.

Storage

You can store this butter in an airtight container for up to 2 days at room temperature, or 2-3 months in the refrigerator.
