Ingredients
Dough
- 2 1/4 teaspoons instant yeast
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 cup milk, warmed to 110F
- 3 1/2 cups bread flour
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon salt
Before Baking
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
Garlic Butter
- 6 tablespoons salted butter, melted
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh basil chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme
- 1 tablespoon fresh oregano, chopped
Instructions
1. In the bowl of a stand mixer, add all ingredients for dough. Knead for 5 minutes on medium speed. Transfer the dough to a greased bowl. Cover and allow to rise in a warm place for 45 minutes. (you can place a 9×13 inch pan full of hot water in the oven underneath the covered bowl. This will create a nice warm environment for the dough to rise)
2. Punch down the dough and turn out onto a lightly floured surface. Divide the dough into 12 roughly equal pieces. Roll each piece into a ball. Place into a greased 13×9 inch pan. Cover and allow to rise for 15 minutes in a warm place.
3. Preheat oven to 350F.
4. In a bowl, stir together ingredients for garlic butter. Pour half the garlic butter mixture into a separate bowl. Brush one half of the garlic butter mixture over the rolls. Reserve the remaining half for after baking. Sprinkle 1/4 cup parmesan cheese over the rolls. Bake the rolls for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
5. Brush the remaining garlic butter over the warm rolls. Serve with sprinkle of freshly grated parmesan cheese and enjoy!
